The Infinix Hot 6 is a toned down version of the Infinix Hot 6 Pro and it is the third member of the Hot 6 family. Unlike its older siblings, the Hot 6 Pro and Hot 6X, the entry-level device used MediaTek chipset.
Design and Display
The Hot 6 is the direct successor of the Infinix Hot 5. Its body is made of plastic (polycarbonate), a trend common amongst budgets devices. The device has a single rear camera, the flash at its side and the fingerprint sensor retains the general design position at the back.
The display size is 6.0 inch TFT LCD capacitative screen. It has 18:9 Aspect ratio with resolution at 1440 x 720 px. This Hot 6 has minimal bezels with on-screen buttons, thus the increase in screen size.
Camera
Unlike the Hot 6X and Pro, the Hot 6 has two cameras, one is placed at the back and the other is placed at the front. The rear camera sensor is rated 13 MP. The front camera sensor is 5MP and used for selfies and facial unlock.
Hardware
The SoC is the quad-core MediaTek MT6763 processor with clock speed at 1.3GHz. This is a step back from the Qualcomm chips that we have always seen in Infinix 6X and 6 Pro devices. It is accompanied by the Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor unit.
For memory, the Hot 6 comes in two types. The 2 GB RAM variant is accompanied by 16GB storage space and the 1GB variant accompanied by 16GB of storage space. Both support memory card expansion.
Software and Battery
The 2 GB variant is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo off the box while the 1GB variant uses Android Go. For the battery, you get 4000 mAh and due to OS optimisations, the battery should last more than other 4000 mAh batteries before it.
According to Infinix, it should last 2 days. There is no fast charge included though.
