Alex J. Marek

Alex J. Marek (known online as AJMarekArt) is an American 2D animator, storyboard artist, cartoonist and illustrator best known for creating the web series Murphy & Mitzi. He initially began his animation career by studying at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 2015 to 2019, directed the short film Drought & About (2019), and has worked as a part-time animator, artist and intern for companies like American Greetings, Sesame Workshop, Epipheo and more. He has also worked on other animated projects as visual effects artist like Punk’d Pooch (2024) and Light of the World (2025).
